Note
A Tol2 transposon-based, bipartite construct consisting of a Gal4-VP16 gene/enhancer trap as well as a cis-linked UAS-regulated eGFP reporter. The vector contains a splice acceptor sequence derived from the rabbit beta-globin gene (275 base pairs of intron 2 and 45 base pairs of exon 3) which was amplified from the pT2KXIG”IN vector (Urasaki et al., 2006) and cloned upstream of tandem Gal4-VP16 and UAS:eGFP elements (Koster and Fraser, 2001). The entire unit was subcloned into the pT2KXIG”IN vector to be flanked by a 535 bp right Tol2 arm and a 517 bp left Tol2 arm.
