Lethality evaluation of two colistin mixtures pre-exposed to melatonin, EGCG and curcumin. Zebrafish embryos were pre-exposed for 4 h to the MTC of melatonin, EGCG or curcumin and then exposed until 72 hpf to A) 10 µM of A-rich colistin, B) 10 µM of B-rich colistin and C) 7 µM of A-rich colistin. All results are expressed as the mean ± SEM of at least 3 independent experiments with 10 embryos per condition. One-way ANOVA with Bonferroni’s post-hoc test was used to calculate significance differences. * p< 0.05 compared to control and # p < 0.05 compared to colistin exposure. |
