In a pdgfra-/-;pdgfrb+/+ embryo (B-B′′′), the maxillary CNCC condensation progress anteriorly throughout craniofacial morphogenesis, while in pdgfra-/-;pdgfrb-/- embryo (C-C′′′), maxillary domain CNCC fails to extend, compared with pdgfra+/+;pdgfrb+/+ (A-A′′′).
