Transplantations of wild-type CNCC precursors (B), but not wild-type endoderm (C) or surface ectoderm (D) precursors, rescue the jag1bb1105 skeleton, as compared with the control non-recipient sides. Wild-type CNCC precursor transplants also rescue notch2-MO skeletal defects (E).
