The inhibitory effects of omeprazole on melanogenesis in zebrafish. (a), OMP inhibited pigment formation in developing zebrafish larvae. Bar: 625 µm. (b), OMP decreased the pigment area density in zebrafish larvae. (c), The intracellular Tyr activity decreased to 48% compared with that of the untreated zebrafish larvae. (d), OMP decreased the total melanin pigment amount in zebrafish larvae. (d), OMP inhibited the expression of TYP, TRP-1a, TRP-2 and MITFb mRNA levels in a dose-dependent manner as detected by real-time RT-PCR analysis. Fold changes relative to each gene level in the control are presented as mean ± SD.
