Note

This construct contains the Ecdysone receptor from Bombyx mori fused to Gal4-VP16. The ecdysone receptor is latent until activated by the insect hormone ecdysone or a chemical analog such as tebufenozide. The IVS2 in the original construct name refers to the second intron of the rabbit B-globin gene which was included to enhance gene expression.
