Defect size indicates how many consecutive segment boundaries are defective in between FRS and PLD. In (G) and (H), the data for different washout timing shown in Figure 4 and Figure 1?figure supplement 1 were pooled to make the histograms. The defect size distribution for each washout timing is shown in Figure 3?figure supplement 3.
