Fig. 4 meis1.1 is required for expression of aldh1a2. The expression of aldh1a2 is reduced in meis1.1 morphants (B) when compared to wild type (A) at 24 hpf. As a control for morpholinos specificity, injection of meis 1.1 mRNA rescues this phenotype (compare B and C). All embryos were also hybridized with hoxa2b as well as aldh1a2.
