Lack of functional baz1b impairs zebrafish quantitative discrimination in the GSP assay. WT and baz1b+/- zebrafish showed a preference for the larger group when confronted with an easier contrast of 2 versus 5 (2 v 5, ratio: 0.4), whereas baz1b-/- could not. None of the zebrafish were able to discriminate the more difficult contrasts of 2 versus 4 (2 v 4, ratio: 0.5) and 2 versus 3 (2 v 3, ratio: 0.67). Each dot represents a subject, allowing for visualisation of interindividual variability; bars show mean ± Standard Error Mean (SEM). Dashed line designates chance level. * p < 0.05 vs. chance.
