Adult Tg(mpo:GFP) fish were incubated in diphenyleneiodonium chloride (DPI) at 30 μM for 12 h before caudal fins were amputated with a distal resection. DPI was added to fish water daily for 3 dpa. After 3 dpa, fish were incubated in water without DPI for the rest of the experiment (10 dpa). Yellow arrowheads represent cut plane.
