Decreased PGE₂ results in dramatically enhanced embryonic cell-cell adhesion. Cell adhesion assay of cells from dissociated control and ptges morphant gastrulae. Images of dissociated blastomeres on the fibronectin substrate were taken every hour for 3 hours. Note the clumping of cells in the Ptges-deficient gastrulae.
