Representative pictures of Maca fractions and pure compounds against the dopaminergic neuron loss treated with MPTP in Zebrafish.

DA neurons were examined in zebrafish by whole-mount immunostaining with an antibody against TH, the rate-determining enzyme involved in the synthesis of DA. Thus, TH⁺ neurons in the diencephalic area of the zebrafish brain were considered as DA neurons.
