I am interested in the inner ear development and regeneration. The lab has identified several transcription factors and epigenetic modulators that are important for development of sensory hair cells and statoacoustic ganglion neurons of the inner ear. Our goal is to understand how each of these proteins contribute to specification and cell fate decisions into the appropriate inner ear cell type.
