STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our laboratory combines behavioural and pharmacological techniques to investigate the neural mechanisms of anxiety, fear and stress using zebrafish as a model system. In order to exploit the potential of zebrafish in this area we have developed behavioural assays of anxiety and fear in adult zebrafish and have initiated a neuropharmacology programme to identify the biological mechanisms contributing to behavioural phenotypes associated with psychiatric disorders.
