STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our research program aims to understand the regulatory mechanisms underlying the hormonal and/or cell specific expression of genes expressed in fish testis. We have identified gene promoter fragments that target gene expression specifically in the Sertoli cells or male germ cells in zebrafish. We have also identified genes that are responsive to androgens and/or gonadotropins to unravel the specific effects of those hormones.
