Insm1a-deficient embryos are microphthalmic. Compared to embryos injected with a control morpholino (A, B), insm1a morphants (C, D) displayed mild body torqueing and smaller eyes at 48 hpf. Whereas the eye area was significantly smaller in insm1a morphants (E), body lengths were not significantly different (F), and eye areas remained significantly smaller after controlling for body length (G).
