Experiment Conditions Description: chemical treatment by environment: (R)-adrenaline, chemical treatment by environment: cortisol
chemical treatment by environment: (R)-adrenaline
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: (R)-adrenaline
Synonyms: (-)-(R)-epinephrine, (-)-3,4-dihydroxy-alpha-((methylamino)methyl)benzyl alcohol, (-)-adrenaline, (R)-(-)-Adnephrine, (R)-(-)-Adrenaline, (R)-(-)-Epinephrine, (R)-(-)-Epirenamine, 4-[(1R)-1-Hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]-1,2-benzenediol, 4-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]benzene-1,2-diol, Adrenalin, adrenaline, epinefrina, Epinephrin, epinephrine, epinephrinum, Epipen, Epipen JR, L-Adrenaline, levoepinephrine, Primatene
Definition: The R-enantiomer of adrenaline. It is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands resulting in the 'fight-or-flight' response.
Ontology: ChEBI [CHEBI:28918]  ( EBI )
chemical treatment by environment: cortisol
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: cortisol
Synonyms: (11beta)-11,17,21-trihydroxypregn-4-ene-3,20-dione, 11beta,17,21-trihydroxypregn-4-ene-3,20-dione, 11beta,17alpha,21-trihydroxy-4-pregnene-3,20-dione, 11beta-hydrocortisone, 17-hydroxycorticosterone, 4-pregnen-11beta,17alpha,21-triol-3,20-dione, Cortisol, hidrocortisona, Hydrocortisone, hydrocortisonum, Kendall's compound F, Reichstein's substance M
Definition: A 17α-hydroxy-C21-steroid that is pregn-4-ene substituted by oxo groups at positions 3 and 20 and hydroxy groups at positions 11, 17 and 21. Cortisol is a corticosteroid hormone or glucocorticoid produced by zona fasciculata of the adrenal cortex, which is a part of the adrenal gland. It is usually referred to as the "stress hormone" as it is involved in response to stress and anxiety, controlled by corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH). It increases blood pressure and blood sugar, and reduces immune responses.
