The elavl3 promoter (chr3:46858745-46855606, Zv9) including the 5 UTR, was used to drive Cerulean. The first intron of ubiquitin C was cloned 360 bp downstream of the transcription start site. The ubiquitin C first intron increases reporter gene expression significantly more then other tested introns
