(A) Trβ2 promotes lws2 expression in RH2 and SWS1 cones, potentially leading to their transfating into LWS2 photoreceptors. (B) In the absence of ligand (unliganded Trβ2) or reduced ligand, lws2 expression is predominantly enhanced. In contrast, ligand-bound Trβ2 (liganded Trβ2) preferentially upregulates lws1 expression.
