Figure Caption

Fig. 5 IL10 knockdown caused defective mesoderm formation, angiogenic sprouting, and vascular development. Tg(Flk1:EGFP) zebrafish embryos were injected with the indicated amounts (3, 4, or 5 ng) of standard control morpholino (std-MO) or IL10 target morpholino (IL10-MO) and were inspected at 32 and 48 hours post fertilization (HPF), respectively. (A-B) Representative fluorescent images showing different types of vascular defects in IL10-MO-injected Tg(Flk1:EGFP) embryos at 32 (A) and 48 (B) HPF, including normal, moderate (short and incomplete ISVs, red arrowheads), and severe (lack or inadequate ISV sprouting, red arrows). (C-D) Percentage of defective ISVs. Numbers on the top of bars indicate the total numbers of embryos with indicated treatments. (E) Total numbers of ISVs in Tg(Flk1:EGFP) zebrafish embryos with indicated treatments. ISV, intersegmental vessel; DA, dorsal aorta; DLAV, dorsal longitudinal anastomotic vessel; PCV, posterior cardinal vein.
