Fig. 1 The sequence alignment of vertebrate Myomixer proteins. The alignment was performed from the complete protein sequences using ClustalW multiple alignment tool. The amino acid residues present in all sequences are uppercase and lowercase when present in at least 6 sequences. The AxLyCxL motif was indicated: x corresponds to leucine, isoleucine, valine and y denotes serine, threonine, alanine or glycine.
