(A, C) D. rerio, (B, D and E) the hybrid between D. rerio female and D. nigrofasciatus male. (C) Lumen in the control D. rerio testis was fully filled with mature spermatozoa. (D) A small number of mature spermatozoa was observed in the lumen of the hybrid male that generated aneuploid sperm. (E) There were no mature spermatozoa in the lumen of hybrid males that did not produce sperm. Scale bars indicate 1 mm (A and B) and 50 μm (C–E).
