Colonization of ET13WT, ET13ΔaroC, and ET13aroC+ in zebrafish tissues. Zebrafish were infected with 1 × 103 of WT, ΔaroC, and aroC+ by i.p. injection. The control group was injected with an equal volume of PBS. Kidney and spleen were collected from fish 3 days post-infection (10 fish in each group). The tissues were homogenized in 200 µL of PBS and plated on LB agar plates. The plates were incubated at 37 °C for 48 h, and the colonies were counted. Note: Asterisks (*) indicate statistical significance (P < 0.05) compared with the WT in the corresponding group |
