Cytotoxicity screen demonstrates doubly transfected cell lines maintain ABC transporter function. Transfected HEK293 cells were incubated with (A–C) doxorubicin, an ABCB1/Abcb4 substrate, with or without the ABCB1/Abcb4 inhibitor elacridar (3 μM), or (D–F) THZ1, an ABCG2/Abcg2a substrate, with or without the ABCG2/Abcg2a inhibitor Ko143 (5 μM), for 72 hours. Data are the mean ± S.E.M. of three biological replicates. |
