Effect of DIDS on Ca2+ influx of neuromasts.

(A) Sequential recording of Ca2+ influx of neuromast hair cells in 96-hpf larvae before and after the addition of 300 ?M DIDS. (B) Larvae were pre-incubated in normal water with 200 or 300 ?M DIDS for 30 min. Then the influx was recorded in normal recording medium without DIDS. Data are presented as the mean ± SE. a, b, c Indicate a significant difference (by one-way ANOVA, Tukey?s comparison, p < 0.05). Numbers in parentheses are numbers of neuromasts.
