Cellular expression patterns of six genes that were reduced in the GCL and/or INL by Irx7 knockdown at 52 hpf. The expression of six genes, including (A) barhl2, (B) ckmt1, (C) irx4a, (D) pbx1a, (E) robo2 and (F) tfap2a, was reduced in the GCL and/or INL by Irx7 knockdown. These genes all expressed at a lower level in the Irx7-morphant retinas compared with the controls; indicating that they might be normally activated by irx7. The dorsal-tilted and ventral views of the eye are shown for the whole-mount samples; whereas the ventral view is shown for the dissected eyes. The specific expression locations of these genes are listed in Table 2. Scale bar = 50 μm. |
