Statement of Research Interest
CeyhunLab is a research laboratory based at the Faculty of Fisheries, Atatürk University, specializing in zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model organism for studies in environmental toxicology and neurobiology. Our research focuses on the developmental, behavioral, and molecular effects of environmental contaminants such as pesticides, food additives, pharmaceutical residues, and nanoplastics. We also develop zebrafish models of human conditions including anxiety, depression, and obesity to explore disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions. By integrating interdisciplinary approaches such as omics technologies, advanced imaging systems, and AI-based behavioral analysis, CeyhunLab aims to unravel complex toxicological and disease-related pathways.
