Statement of Research Interest
Our laboratory interests are in aquatic toxicology, and chemical neurobehavioral injury, particularly on the fish olfactory system. We are using zebrafish as a laboratory model to create transgenic lines exploring the mechanisms of chemical and metal mediated olfactory injury. We are particularly interested in the role of oxidative stress as a mechanism of pollutant olfactory injury, and also the role of antioxidant genes in protecting against neurobehavioral injury.
