STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our research seeks to elucidate the molecular principles underlying how cells within and between tissues communicate with their local and global environment to change position, size, shape and identity. We study these fundamental principles in the zebrafish cardiovascular system. By combining genetic manipulation with live imaging and biophysical experiments we aim to elucidate the fundamental principles cardiac cells use to remodel the heart during both normal and pathogenic events.
