STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Research Interests:

* Genes involved in cancer initiation and progression
* Molecular mechanisms of genes related to cancer initiation and progression
* The roles of tumor suppressors and oncogenes in zebrafish embryogenesis

Our research is to understand the molecular mechanisms whereby cancer related genes are normally regulated and how abnormal gene regulation leads to cancer initiation and progression through cell culture system and zebrafish model. In addition, we also try to figure out the relationship between carcinogen/mutagen of aquatic environments and cancer development. These studies will help us to understand the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, and to ultimately develop novel approaches for diagnosing, preventing and treating cancer. In present, our research is funded by NSFC, 973 and other funding.
