Phenotype: notochord epithelium accumulation macrophage, ameliorated
Note: This statement combines anatomy and/or ontology terms with phenotype quality terms to create a complete phenotype (EQ) statement. For detailed information on individual terms, click the hyperlinked term name.
Name: notochord
Synonyms: notocord
Definition: Rod-like principal supportive element of the embryo and larva, present in the midline just ventral to the neural tube, and differentiating during the segmentation period to form large vacuolated epithelial cells and a surrounding sheath of fibrous and elastic layers. Layering of the sheath may differ in structure, thickness and development among groups; in cypriniforms there are actually three very thin layers to the sheath. A functional, well developed notochord is present throughout life in certain basal fish groups but not in cypriniforms.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0000135]
Name: epithelium
Synonyms:
Definition: Portion of tissue, that consists of one or more layers of epithelial cells connected to each other by cell junctions and which is underlain by a basal lamina.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0001486]
Name: accumulation
Synonyms: pooled
Definition: A structural quality of the collection or massing of one physical object within another physical object.
Ontology: Phenotypic Quality Ontology [PATO:0002269]
Name: macrophage
Synonyms: histiocyte
Definition: A mononuclear phagocyte present in variety of tissues, typically differentiated from monocytes, capable of phagocytosing a variety of extracellular particulate material, including immune complexes, microorganisms, and dead cells.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0009141]
Tag: ameliorated
Definition: This annotation denotes a significantly rescued phenotype resulting from an additional reagent or mutation.
