Definition
An organoiodine compound that is benzene substituted by 4-hydroxyphenoxy, iodo, and 2-aminoethyl groups at positions 1, 2, and 4, respectively. It is a thyroid hormone metabolite and a potent agonist of trace amine-associated receptor 1.
