- A polysaccharide derivative composed mainly of a glucan in which succinoyl groups are bound to some of the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose monomers. The polysaccharide fragment consists of β-(1→3)-, β-(1→4)- and β-(1→6)-linked glucose residues together with a small proportion of β-(1→3)-linked galactose residues.
