An (ω−1)-hydroxy fatty acid ascaroside obtained by formal condensation of the alcoholic hydroxy group of (12R)-12-hydroxytridecanoic acid with ascarylopyranose (the α anomer). It is a metabolite of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans.
