Definition
A mixture containing taurolidine (a thiadiazinane antimicrobial) and heparin sodium (an anti-coagulant). It is used to reduce the incidence of catheter-related bloodstream infections in adult patients with kidney failure receiving chronic hemodialysis through a central venous catheter.
