Definition

A racemate comprising equimolar amounts of (R)- and (S)-tefuryltrione. An inhibitor of 4-hydroxyphenyl-pyruvate dioxygenase, it is used as a herbicide for the treatment of annual and perennial weeds in rice paddies.
