Name: testis
Synonyms: testes
Definition: Male reproductive organ. Adult zebrafish testes are paired organs forming elongated structures, internally organized into tubules. These tubules are formed by seminiferous epithelium containing cysts of spermatogonia and spermatocytes surrounded by somatic support cells, called Sertoli cells. Cysts are arranged around a lumen containing spermatozoa that is connected to the efferent ducts. The interstitial regions between the tubules contain the steroid-producing Leydig cells, connective tissue, and blood vessels.

Name: histone H4R3 methyltransferase activity
Synonyms: histone H4KR3 methylation, histone H4R3 arginine methylase activity, histone methylase activity (H4-R3 specific), histone methyltransferase activity (H4-R3 specific), histone-arginine N-methyltransferase activity (H4-R3 specific)
Definition: Catalysis of the reaction: S-adenosyl-L-methionine + (histone H4)-arginine (position 3) = S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + (histone H4)-N-methyl-arginine (position 3). This reaction is the addition of a methyl group to the arginine residue at position 3 of histone H4, producing histone H4R3me.
