Fig. 3 Expression in presumptive ventral forebrain. By the 7 somite stage, a new site of expression is observed in posterior cells of the notochord. The forebrain expression disappears and the notochordal staining enlarges from a few cells posteriorly to the complete notochord by the 12 somite stage.
