Definition: A member of the class of pyrazoles that is 1-methyl-1H-pyrazole substituted by trifluoromethyl, (4-oxo-2-sulfanylidene-1,3-thiazolidin-5-ylidene)methyl, and (4-chlorobenzyl)sulfanediyl groups at positions 3, 4 and 5, respectively. It is an ADAMTS-5 inhibitor (IC50 = 1.1 muM) which prevents the degradation of aggrecan, a major component of cartilage that is lost in osteoporosis.
