Abstract
In a recent study, Slangewal et al. explored principles of visuomotor decision-making in larval zebrafish. Visuomotor choices were revealed to be largely additive, integrating visual motion, luminance level, and luminance change during cue conflict. Brain-wide imaging mapped parallel feature circuits within the optic tectum that converge in the anterior hindbrain. Single-cell identity and morphology analyses refined this map, linking behavioral algorithms to candidate circuit implementations.
