ZFIN Staff (2004) Gene Ontology Annotation Inferred from Orthology. Manually curated data. .
Abstract
ZFIN's curation of data includes the assignment of Gene Ontology (GO)
controlled vocabulary terms. Genes are annotated with terms from three
ontologies (Molecular Function, Biological Process, and Cellular
Component). A GO annotation citing this reference was brought to the zebrafish gene record because it was present on an orthologous gene in another
species. The source annotation on the ortholog was supported with
published experimental evidence. To obtain a more detailed information about this process or to send comments, please contact ZFIN.
