Biography and Research Interest
Belgian, born in 1968, I passed my PhD in Sciences in 1995 and was stabilized as Principal Investigator at the IRIBHM in 2000. I directed 10 PhD and 12 Master Thesis. My research experience covers cellular signaling through the study of the interaction between proteins. We studied the scaffold properties of the phosphoinositide phosphatase SHIP2 in link with in membrane dynamics regulation. We also contributed to the identification of new causal genes involved in rare recessive neurodevelopment diseases. Functional consequences of identified variants in these genes were evaluated using genome editing in zebrafish using CRISPR/Cas9.
