BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
My lab is interested in the genetic disorders of craniofacial and oral regions and their molecular mechanisms involving tooth and bone development. We focus on the ion channels or transporters and related channelopathies. We use zebrafish to help us to understand the genetic diseases and common diseases of craniofacial and oral regions. We have very good zebrafish larva models of dental fluorosis.
Besides zebrafish model, we also use mouse and other in vitro methods to help us understand the molecular mechanism of craniofacial and oral disorders.
