Biography and Research Interest
Brief Autobiography:
Dr. Yuh received her B.A. from Biology Division at Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taiwan in 1987, and received her Ph.D. from Institute of Microbiology and Immunology at National Yang-Ming Medical College, Taiwan in 1992 on investigating the action mechanisms of second enhancer and core promoter of the Hepatitis B virus. She joined the Biology Division in California Institutes of Technology as a postdoc in the fall of 1992, under the direction of Dr. Eric Davidson and studying the gene regulatory networks of sea urchin endoderm. Dr. Yuh DMGM at NHRI as an Associate Investigator on 2005, and started zebrafish and cancer research since then. Yuh’s lab has established the gene regulatory networks for zebrafish embryogenesis, functional dissecting the important subcircuits in the endoderm networks and systematically approach reveals the evolution of pathways deregulated in the hepatocellular carcinogenesis using HBx induced HCC mouse model and transgenic zebrafish.
