Statement of Research Interest
Our primary research interests are to understand striated muscle patterning during development and aging in vertebrates. We have generated transgenic zebrafish containing a GFP (green fluorescent protein) marker which is expressed only in skeletal muscle. The expression of additional zebrafish muscle markers containing fiber-specific elements will be used to analyze changing patterns during muscle development.
