Fig. 1 Setup for euthanasia of 3 to 28 dpf zebrafish. A tea strainer was placed inside a holding tank of approximately equal parts ice and water, so that fish did not have direct contact with ice. The temperature of water within the tea strainer was measured before and after each euthanasia run and was maintained at 0 to 4 °C.
