Fig. 4 Effects on hatching and development of zebrafish embryos/larvae. (A) Hatching of larvae (F1) derived from the mating of parental males exposed to DMSO (control) or BPS (0.5 µg/L), maintained in embryonic medium or (B) larvae directly exposed to BPS (0.5 µg/L) after 96 h post-fertilization. (C-F) Development of embryos/larvae (F1) after 96 h in embryonic medium. (C) Absence of somite formation, (D) failure of tail detachment, (E) pericardial edema, (F) spinal deformity. No yolk sac edema was observed in larvae (F1) from both the control (DMSO) and treated (BPS) groups. No developmental changes were identified in directly exposed larvae in either the control (DMSO) or treated (BPS) groups. The following developmental parameters were analyzed: absence of somite formation, failure of tail detachment, pericardial edema, yolk sac edema, and spinal deformity. Results are expressed as mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM) (n = 100). (****) denotes a significant difference with p < 0.0001. (NS) indicates no significant difference.Parte superior do formulário.
