In comparison to control biopsies, (n = 9), MAGI2 mRNA was significantly downregulated in glomeruli of collapsing FSGS (n = 6, p = 0.03), but not MCD patient biopsies (n = 7, A). MAGI2 expression was positively correlated with eGFR in glomeruli isolated from nephrotic syndrome biopsies (B, R2 = 0.33, p = 0.002, n = 37), kidney biopsies after kidney transplantation (C, R2 = 0.261, p < 0.001, n = 60), and in diabetic kidney disease (D, R2 = 0.663, p < 0.001, n = 22)
