Fig. 1 (A) Examples of normal lens and cataractous lenses with varying degrees of cataract severity, from mild to moderate to severe in wildtype zebrafish. “Pitting” and “Central mass” were used as the two cataract calling features for cataract assessment as previously described by Zhao et al., 2021 (Zhao et al., 2021). (B) Graph displaying cataract rates in different strains. The cataract rate within each strain was further categorized by severity. To assess if there were significant differences in cataract occurrence overall between the two strains, Chi-squared test was conducted. A single ‘*’ denotes a p-value less than 0.05 and ‘***’ denotes a p-value less than 0.001.
