Expression patterns of col2a1a and col2a1b mRNA in medaka embryo detected by whole-mount insitu hybridization, using the col2a1a probe (A?D) and col2a1b probe (E?H) at 3?4 dpf. Results at 3 dpf (A and E) and 4 dpf (B?D and F?H), in the dorsal view (A, B, E, and F), ventral view (C and G) and lateral view (D and H). The sense probe showed no signals in any tissues through all the stages tested (data not shown).
